Active Inspired Moms (AIM)
The mission of AIM is to provide a safe community for moms to gather, share, and grow in a warm, Jewish environment.
Q: What is AIM?
A: AIM stands for Active Inspired Moms. The name comes from the Hebrew word אם, which means “mother” in biblical Hebrew.

Q: Who are the leaders of AIM?
A: Liz Levy, Emily Luea, Melisa Van Buskirk, Esty Perman, and Leah Langert are the amazing leaders who are volunteering their time and talent to make this group possible. This group is supported by the Director of Family Engagement at the J.
Q: How often will we meet?
A: Large group programs will take place about every 6 weeks at the J. Small groups will get together in the between weeks at various locations.
Q: What are large group programs?
A: Large group programs (for moms only) will take place about every 6 weeks and will include speakers, classes, panels, crafts, and other activities. Large group meeting times will be on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 am, and Thursdays from 7 – 8:30 pm at the J. The same program will take place at the morning and evening meeting times so you can choose which program time works best for your schedule.
Q: What do we do in small groups?
A: Small groups will meet outside of the large group meetings for play dates, social outings, moms nights out, etc. Each small group will have a leader to facilitate the programs. Small groups will be formed by AIM leaders based on age of kids and location; each small group will consist of about 6 women.
Q: What if I need childcare during large group programs?
A: Babysitting is available in The Park for ages 3 months to 5 years for up to 2 hours. There is no additional charge for J members already signed up for monthly unlimited babysitting. For J members with Family and Single Parent membership, the rate is $7/child drop-in fee for up to 2 hours. For J Individual membership and non-members, the drop-in fee is $10/child for up to 2 hours. Contact Brie Puthoff at the BrieP@thejkc.org for additional questions or to reserve a spot.
Q: How do I become a small group leader?
A: Talk to one of the AIM leaders or email email@example.com by October 1 or indicate on your registration form that you’d like to be a small group leader.
Q: How much does it cost to become a member?
A: Membership costs $36 for the entire year of programming. This money will be used for speaker fees, materials, and food/drinks.
Q: Is AIM affiliated with any other organizations?
A: AIM is in partnership with the J and is not affiliated with any synagogue or other organization. The group is open to all moms who feel a connection with the Jewish community.

A: Go to www.thejkc.org/aim to fill out your membership registration by October 1, 2017 to secure your spot!
