J Camp Update:
We are excited to announce that we will be operating J Camp this summer! However, we are making some changes in our schedule and adding new health and safety practices. J Camp will operate June 8 – July 31. See the update information in the newsletter.
J Camps encourage diversity by genuinely welcoming Campers into a fun and inclusive environment at this exceptional summer camp in Kansas City. We strive to instill a sense of real community, so Campers end each day highly anticipating the next day of summer camp. Jewish values are integrated into our programs in a manner which appeals to parents and children of all faiths and backgrounds. Campers will participate in a variety of activities, programs, sports, and, of course, swimming in our Olympic sized outdoor pool and Waterama splash area!
"My child had a great experience once again at J Camp. The counselors from last year remembered him and immediately made him feel comfortable. He enjoyed seeing friends he made last year that he didn’t see all year. Thank you so much for providing such a great Camp for our community!" - J Camp Parent

Israeli Counselors: Each summer we hire Israeli young adults as Shlichim (Emissaries). The Shlichim enrich the camp experience with Israeli cultural activities and special projects.
The Jewish Community Center is able to support a limited number of children with special needs for J Camp, primarily through funding by Sasone and the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City. If your child has special needs or requires assistance to successfully function in a group setting and wants to attend J Camp, before enrolling, contact the appropriate J Camp Director to request an application for Para assistance. In addition to the J Camp enrollment fee, families are asked to pay a portion of the Para cost. Space is limited. Financial assistance is available for Para support.
