The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is adding a third Sports and Recreation Supervisor to its Team. Currently comprised of a membership of 8000 people, The J welcomes 300,000 visitors annually to experience its cultural, fitness, education, child care, recreation, sports, theatre, summer camps, family and senior adult programs. Noted for its state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics facilities, award-winning early childhood program and 500-seat theatre, The J operates within the context of Jewish values and traditions, and provides wellness, meaning and joy to the people it serves.
The Sports and Recreation department has been experiencing tremendous growth over the past several years. The department has added new programs and added hundreds of participants to existing programs. This position allows the selected candidate to become part of an exciting opportunity to offer high quality recreational opportunities for all ages.
Reporting to the Sports and Recreation Program Coordinator, this position, one of three Sports and Recreation Program Supervisors at The J, will focus on management and instruction of the children’s FUNatics sports classes; marketing and management of sports birthday parties; coaching children in the youth soccer and basketball programs; and assisting with summer sports camps.
