Amazing Staff at our Summer Childcare Near You

Believe it or not, most of our staff who oversees The J’s summer camp for kids and other youth programs were once J campers themselves. They have firsthand experience with how much a positive role model and a summer of great memories can impact a life.

Our skilled and trained staff creates a safe and positive environment children can flourish in, including a variety of fun activities that promote teamwork and socialization skills, which helps them embrace the spirit of J Camp.

Each summer, The J hires two Israeli young adults as Shlichim (emissaries). The Shlichim enrich the camp experience with Israeli-based cultural activities and special projects.

Working at J Camp

Interested in becoming a part of the J Camp team for 2026? Or do you know someone who would be a good fit? J Camp hiring will begin in late December. 

Each year, we look for enthusiastic, self-motivated summer staff members to provide program activities and supervision to our campers. Full-time and part-time positions will be available May 26 through Aug. 7, Monday through Friday.

We will be hiring the following staff for our summer camp for kids:

  • Camp counselors
  • Directors
  • Specialists
  • Para-Educators
  • Substitute staff

J Camp Leader-in-Training

J Camp Leader-in-Training Volunteer Opportunity: This is a volunteer position for 14 or 15-year-olds to be a day Camp assistant at J Camp. LITs work with Barney Goodman Day Camp, Sports Camp, the Child Development Center (CDC), BOOM! Camp and a limited number of positions are available for Specialty Camps.
